Project:
The London Borough of Wandsworth (LBW) required resources to provide cover for a long-term vacant position within their waste management team at Waste Policy & Projects Officer level for an average of four days per week.
The post required excellent communications, organisation and multi tasking skills.
Solution:
LRS provided experienced project officers on secondment for an extended period.
The officers lead on the research and management of waste minimisation and recycling projects and pilot studies, internally in the Town Hall and externally across the borough. Working on new initiatives and engaging the public through campaigns and publicity, the officers were integral to the success of various programmes.
Outcome:
LBW were able to continue to develop and maintain programmes for decreasing waste and reducing CO2 emissions from residents across the borough and staff in Wandsworth Town Hall. LRS staff were also able to identify funding opportunities for LBW which allowed projects to continue and improve.
