Biomass facility development

Project:
We are currently working on behalf of an Irish waste company on the development of a biomass facility for the treatment of C&D waste wood able to generate up to 20MW of power. The facility would be able to provide renewable heat to a major industrial plant based on an adjacent site.
Solution:
The support we are providing includes assessment of the identified site and related planning constraints, identification of suitable feedstock, analysis of local and regional biomass markets, liaising with the adjacent industrial plant operators to develop arrangements for heat off-take, general project management and dialogue facilitation among all parties.
Outcome:
The project is on-going and, so far, a site has been identified and we have secured interest from the potential industrial heat user. We are also investigating feedstock availability and logistic arrangements, in line with current planning requirements for the site.
