LRS Consultancy Strengthens senior management team

LRS, the resource management consultancy, has made two senior appointments to support the company’s next stage of growth and development. Claudia Amos, who has twelve years’ experience in providing technical and commercial advice on infrastructure projects throughout the waste hierarchy and renewables sector, and Samantha Dunn, who is a specialist in sustainable supply chain management, have joined the team as Principal Consultants from this month.

Their appointments will see LRS extend their existing service offer into producer responsibility and develop its infrastructure and investment offer to ensure that the full resource loop is supported. These two new appointments follow the recruitment of Paul Levett, former Deputy Chief Executive of Veolia Environmental Services UK, who joined LRS Consultancy Ltd as Chairman of the Board in October last year.

Dee Moloney, LRS managing director said ‘This is an exciting time for us, we have come a long way in the last two years, and have successfully demonstrated that there is a role for a small, professional consultancy in the sustainable resource management sector.  The appointment of new expertise at such a senior level is a direct response to our clients’ and the industry’s demand for support to develop the resource efficient economy that the Government has outlined in its waste strategy review, and meet the demands of the EU roadmap to resource efficiency.’

Both new team members are highly experienced consultants and have extensive experience of leading complex teams on large scale client projects and contracts including: WRAP, Defra, the Environment Agency and the Cabinet Office; as well as many global brands, utilities, manufacturers and retailers including Asda Wal-Mart, Waitrose and Unilever.

Claudia has direct experience with all stages of the infrastructure procurement process, specialising in bidder’s support including feasibility studies, business planning, waste assessments and technology selection as well as sustainability planning and carbon management. She has provided technical, commercial and environmental dialogue support to leading bidders on many procurements projects throughout the UK.. She has an in-depth knowledge of waste treatment technology performance throughout the waste hierarchy including traditional and novel processes gained through over 250 technology assessments on behalf of the industry, Local Authorities and public bodies such as Defra, WRAP and the Welsh Assembly Government.

Samantha Dunn has a unique blend of management and resource efficiency consulting, FMCG industry and Public Sector  experience in sustainability, supply chain, and innovation.  She has a proven track record of change management, stakeholder engagement and project delivery which includes business planning, portfolio optimisation, operating model re-design, and process improvement.

Commenting on their appointment, Dee Moloney said: "The market is changing rapidly and there are lots of new businesses and organisations, particularly retailers, brand owners and their supply chains, who are striving to be leaders in sustainability. In response to this increasing interest in resource efficiency there is a corresponding growth in the demand for market due diligence from the reprocessing and waste management sector to support the associated material treatment facilities. I believe that with these new appointments the LRS team is in a great place to help them to address the risks associated with resource scarcity as part of sustainability programmes and demonstrate stronger business performance as a result. I am delighted to have the chance to include two such well-established and experienced individuals to our team.”
