At LRS we are committed to minimising our environmental impact from our business activities.
This policy has been structured in line with the requirements of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. It explains our intentions and commitments around improving our environmental performance.
We aim to:
- Understand the environmental impacts of our business and monitor these on a regular basis
- Integrate environmental management procedures and best practice into all our business operations
- Continuously improve, through the identification of best practice, our environmental performance and make more effective use of resources
- Develop, implement and promote sustainable procurement options which optimise our resource use by following BS8903 guidance and seek to implement the stages of the Flexible Framework
- Seek ways to minimise energy and water use within day to day operation
- Adopt and manage waste management procedures, which promote waste minimisation, re-use, recovery and recycling. Where these options are unavailable we will ensure that our waste is correctly handled and disposed of in a way that has the least impact on the environment
- Deliver all our events in the most sustainable possible manner
- Use environmentally favorable transport options wherever possible
- Identify and comply with applicable legal and other voluntary commitments
- Communicate the importance of our environmental standards and promote environmental best practice within our organisation, to key stakeholders, partners, suppliers and clients
- Our commitments are to:
- Develop and implement an environmental management system in line with ISO 14001
- Annually review our environmental policy and performance
- Set and monitor environmental performance objectives and targets
- Ensure that our policy is made available for public review when requested
